The ultra-luxury cruise line transforms its Pool Grill into a nightly al fresco venue with handcrafted pizzas and grilled specialties
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has expanded its culinary repertoire with evening service at the Pool Grill, introducing a casual dining alternative that maintains the line’s exacting standards while offering guests a more relaxed setting after port-intensive days.

Available nightly from 6pm to 9pm across the fleet, weather permitting, the self-service venue represents a departure from Regent’s formal specialty restaurants without compromising on ingredient quality or preparation technique. The addition addresses a practical reality of ultra-luxury cruising: sometimes guests prefer simpler pleasures after hours spent exploring ancient ruins or navigating European cobblestones.
“Our guests love the exceptional onboard cuisine we are renowned for, but they also appreciate the freedom to enjoy dining in a more leisurely setting when the mood strikes, especially after an exhilarating day of exploration.”
Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer at Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
A Mediterranean-inspired menu takes center stage
The centerpiece of the evening service is a new pizzeria menu featuring ten varieties crafted with premium ingredients. The selection leans heavily Italian – Burrata e Coppa combines coppa, arugula and burrata atop a tomato-mozzarella base, while Tartufo e Porcini pairs Italian sausage with porcini mushrooms and black truffle cream. A Vegeteriana option incorporates six vegetables for those seeking lighter fare.
Beyond pizzas, the Pool Grill offers grilled proteins including strip loin minute steak, rosemary roasted chicken, and Provençal-marinated lamb chops, alongside vegetable kebabs. An appetizer selection spans Mediterranean standards – hummus with pita chips, Caprese salad, and Greek salad – while an extensive salad bar provides additional customization.
The beverage program includes four sparkling options: Castello di Spessa ‘Perte’ Ribolla Gialla Spumante, La Delizia ‘Naonis’ Prosecco Brut DOC, Canevel Prosecco Valdobbiandene DOCG, and Heidsieck Monopole Blue Top Brut Champagne. The adjacent Pool Bar operates from 10am to 9pm.
Fleet-wide rollout continues through 2026
The pizzeria menu debuted on Seven Seas Mariner following its December 2025 dry dock and is now available on Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Grandeur, and Seven Seas Splendor. Seven Seas Voyager will receive the enhancement during its May 2026 refurbishment, while Seven Seas Prestige will feature it upon delivery later this year.

The evening Pool Grill service complements Regent’s existing dining venues – Prime 7, Pacific Rim, Chartreuse, Compass Rose, and Sette Mari at La Veranda – all included in the all-inclusive fare structure. The line’s six ships carry between 496 and 822 guests, positioning them in the small-to-mid-size luxury segment where dining flexibility becomes increasingly valued.
For travelers who’ve experienced the full spectrum of Regent’s formal dining rooms, the Pool Grill evening service offers a welcome counterpoint – though its success will ultimately depend on whether casual execution can genuinely match the polish found elsewhere on these vessels.
