Holland America Line have revealed a brand new program for their guests. It will offer enhanced benefits like exclusive dining venues, priority services and a dedicated concierge hotline. Called Club Orange it’s sure to raise the bar, pushing the line’s service offering ever closer to the luxury end of the market.
Orlando Ashford explains Club Orange
Yesterday, I was fortunate to spend time with Orlando Ashford, the president of Holland America Line. He was understandably upbeat about the Club Orange program. “It’s all about elevating the guest experience”, he said.
Club Orange can be thought of as a first-class add-on. In fact it will be included for all guests in the line’s top suites – the Neptune and Pinnacle categories. A small number of non-suite staterooms on each sailing may also purchase the Club Orange benefits.
Those benefits are substantial. Most notable is the introduction of private dining. “We serve some of the best food at sea and now our Club Orange guests can enjoy it in their own dining venue”, said Mr. Ashford.
An exclusive Club Orange restautant
Aboard Nieuw Statendam and Koningsdam the Culinary Arts Center will be transformed into the Club Orange restaurant. Club Orange guests will have the option of dining in this exclusive restaurant for breakfast and dinner, free of charge. The venue will serve exclusive daily specials as well as menu featured in Pinnacle Grill at breakfast and the Dining Room at dinner.
When the new program rolls out across the remainder of the Holland America Line fleet next year a dedicated section of the Dining Room will be set-aside for the exclusive use of Club Orange guests.
The Club Orange restaurant is a great concept and sure to be popular.
Other Club Orange benefits
There are other first-class benefits too. There is priority check-in and disembarkation, priority tender service as well as priority alternative restaurant reservations made on board. There’s a glass of sparkling wine at dinner on embarkation day, a premium bathrobe for use onboard and even an exclusive tote bag. Plus, program guests will have access to a special guest services hotline.
Club Orange details
The name Club Orange pays homage to the Dutch heritage of Holland America Line – orange being the colour of the Dutch Royal Family.
The program will be included in the cruise fare for all Neptune and Pinnacle suite guests. It can be purchased by a small number of non-suite guests for US$50 per person per day. The first and second guest in the same stateroom are both required to purchase the program.
The program is slated to launch on Nieuw Statendam and Koningsdam in December 2018, with a rollout to the rest of the fleet in 2019.
