Five continents, 58 ports, and no reason to hurry between them

By the time Seabourn Quest reaches Nuku Hiva, tucked deep in French Polynesia’s Marquesas Islands, she will already have crossed from Lima to Easter Island and on into the hush of Bora Bora’s lagoon—three stops most itineraries treat as a lifetime’s collection, folded here into a single season. Seabourn has opened bookings for its 2029 World Cruise: Iconic Islands & Remote Horizons, a 138-day voyage aboard Seabourn Quest sailing from Miami to Lisbon between January 7 and May 26, 2029. The route runs more than 32,000 nautical miles through the Americas, the South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia, the Indian Ocean, Africa and Europe, calling at 58 destinations across 31 countries and territories, among them 32 islands.

“Our 2029 World Cruise exemplifies the type of extraordinary travel experiences that define Seabourn. This voyage combines globally celebrated destinations with some of the world’s most remote and fascinating places, creating opportunities for deeper discovery and meaningful cultural connection. From exclusive shoreside events and immersive experiences to the personalized service and intimacy that set Seabourn apart, every element of this journey has been thoughtfully designed to inspire and enrich our guests.”

Mark Tamis, President of Seabourn.

What separates this itinerary from the usual circuit is its willingness to sit alongside the famous with the barely charted. Bora Bora and Zanzibar appear on the map, but so do Nuku Hiva, Praslin in the Seychelles, Antsiranana on Madagascar’s northern coast, Akaroa on New Zealand’s Banks Peninsula and Burnie on Tasmania’s northwest shore—harbors most large ships pass by for want of a deep-enough berth. Seabourn Quest’s comparatively modest size lets her tie up where bigger vessels cannot, and along the way guests can reach more than 25 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Easter Island’s moai fields, Fiordland National Park, the Stone Town of Zanzibar and the Sacred City of Kandy, visited from the call at Colombo.

Twenty stays long enough to actually see the place

Rather than rushing from gangway to gangway, the itinerary builds in 20 extended stays, eight of them overnight: Lima, Easter Island, Bora Bora, Bali, Singapore, Sydney, Zanzibar and Cape Town. A further twelve ports—Cartagena, Auckland, Napier, Melbourne, Portland, Adelaide, Busselton, Fremantle, Colombo, Victoria, Walvis Bay and Las Palmas—get more than the standard few hours ashore. For guests wanting to go further still, optional Seabourn Journeys extend the adventure inland, with land programs reaching the Galápagos Islands, Machu Picchu, Uluru, the Taj Mahal, African safari country and the interior of Easter Island itself.

A private evening at the Zeitz MOCAA, and a village stay in Bali

Two shoreside experiences, built exclusively for guests sailing the complete voyage, anchor the World Cruise’s cultural program. In Bali, an included two-day, one-night Seabourn Journey trades a single afternoon ashore for real immersion—village visits, cooking with local families and access to traditions rarely opened to passing cruise guests. In Cape Town, Seabourn has arranged a private after-hours evening at the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, with regional cuisine, live music and Table Mountain framed in the gallery windows after the museum’s regular visitors have gone home.

A newly refreshed Seabourn Quest, and speakers to match the itinerary

Seabourn Quest returns from a recently completed dry dock carrying one of the most extensive interior updates in the line’s history: refreshed suites, reworked public rooms, updated dining venues and an expanded spa.

At sea, days are shaped around Seabourn’s long-running Seabourn Conversations lecture series, alongside culinary events and cultural performances tied to whichever coastline the ship last left. It is a rhythm built for a voyage this long—enough structure to keep the days interesting, enough open water to let guests set their own pace.

What comes with the full 138 days

Guests booking the complete World Cruise receive a set of inclusions scaled to the length of the voyage: up to USD4,000 in shipboard credit per Veranda Suite and up to USD8,000 per Penthouse Suite and above, round-trip Business Class air, a one-night pre-cruise hotel stay in Miami, the Bali Seabourn Journey at no extra cost, an upgraded Stream Wi-Fi package powered by Starlink for two devices, unlimited laundry, wet cleaning and pressing, a reduced 50% deposit at booking, and a set of commemorative gifts marking the voyage. These inclusions apply only to guests sailing the full 138 days—segment bookings carry the same onboard experience without the World Cruise extras.

Shorter segments, and a deadline worth marking

Not every traveler has 138 days to give. Seabourn will also offer a selection of extended voyage segments covering multiple regions of the itinerary, with details on specific routings and availability to follow closer to launch. For those ready to commit to the full circumnavigation, or to an eligible segment, booking by September 17, 2026, secures a 10% early booking saving. Reservations can be made through a travel advisor, at seabourn.com or by calling Seabourn direct.
