The Nautica Lounge

The Nautica Lounge is the place for cast performances and musical productions. It’s the theatre on board Nautica.

The resident cast perform shows like Good Lovin’ (a Motown Tribute), or the 1920’s inspired Gatsby’s. On my review voyage these productions were somewhat underwhelming, in spite of the obvious talent of some cast members.

There are also guest performers in the Nautica Lounge. These can include comedians, concert pianists, vocalists or local dance troupes.

It’s worth noting there is bar service in the Nautica Lounge prior to and during performances.

Showtime: 9:30pm

Martinis Bar

Martinis is one of the most popular Oceania Nautica bars. It’s an intimate venue with a club-like atmosphere. What’s more, Martinis has a resident pianist who is happy to take requests.

As the name suggests, Martinis celebrates the classic cocktail. In fact the bar has almost two dozen variations on the theme. There’s a Lychee Martini with Vodka, Amaretto, Lychee Syrup, Orange Juice & Prosecco or the Church Lady-tini with Absolute Vanilla, Kahlúa & Frangelico. Whatever your preference, there’s sure to be something to tickle your taste buds.

Horizons – the biggest Oceania Nautica bar

The observation lounge at the front of Nautica is called Horizons. It has panoramic views across the bow, which makes it one of the most popular bars onboard.

Horizons serve a delectable daily afternoon tea. The staff glide by with trollies full of fresh scones, pâtisserie and finger sandwiches, while a classical string quartet plays softly in the background. It’s enormously popular, so be sure to arrive early.

As the sun sets Horizons transforms into a sophisticated evening bar. There is champagne, cocktails and spirits, not to mention dancing to the sounds of the Nautica Showband.

Baristas / The Grand Bar

Baristas is the place for great coffee and light snacks during the day. After dark it becomes The Grand Bar, the perfect place for a pre-dinner tipple. There are vintage wines and classic apéritifs.

The Grand Bar is one of the most popular pre-dinner Oceania Nautica bars. The atmosphere is always lively and we think it really adds to the Nautica nightlife vibe. You are sure to meet up with fellow guests on the way to dinner.

Baristas: 6:30am – 6:00pm.

The Grand Bar: 6:00pm – late. 

Waves Bar

The Waves Bar is a casual poolside bar on Nautica. The ambiance is relaxed beneath the shade of umbrellas, amid gentle sea breezes. 

There is a wide variety of soft drinks and alcoholic beverages available. In fact, the Waves Bar have their own cocktail list. It includes the Basil Sensation with Bacardi Lemon, Raspberry Purée, Fresh Basil, Fresh Lime Juice and Sweet & Sour, as well as the Spicy Passion Caipirinha with Cachaca, Passion Fruit Purée, Sriracha & Fresh Lime. There are also daiquiris, margaritas, mules and mojitos.
