The highly anticipated details of the new Silver Nova suites have been revealed. Silversea Cruises have released images of the vessel’s brand new and redesigned suites, including the iconic Veranda Suite.

The hybrid-LNG powered Silver Nova will boast 364 suites across 13 categories. In a departure for Silversea, these will span the entire length of the soon-to-be flagship – from bow to stern. Silversea call it an ‘asymmetrical configuration’.

“With her asymmetrical configuration and horizontal layout, Silver Nova will offer guests a new generation of spacious suites that are unseen in Silversea’s fleet.”

The new configuration certainly allows for new top-suite designs, especially in the aft-facing corner positions. Indeed, Silver Nova will feature 6 suite categories never before seen on a Silversea vessel. The new Silver Nova suite categories include:

  • Otium Suite
  • Master Suite
  • Signature Suite
  • Junior Grand Suite
  • Premium Medallion Suite
  • Premium Veranda Suite

However, it’s also worth noting that the new configuration also increases the overall number of suites onboard. That said, the new and redesigned suites on Silver Nova will undoubtedly offer unparalleled levels of luxury.

About Silver Nova’s new and redesigned top suites

The all new Otium Suite will be the pinnacle of luxury living on board Silver Nova. As we’ve previously reported, these two aft-facing suites will be like apartments at sea. They will boast spacious and elegantly furnished interiors, as well as an expansive veranda with private hot tub.

Not to be outdone, the two Owner’s Suites will be reimagined on Silver Nova. The Owner’s Suite, which is a Venetian Society favourite, will benefit from its mid-ship position and have incredible views from the dining area, bedroom and study.

The Grand Suite is a Silversea classic. On Silver Nova it retains a commanding, forward-facing position with magnificent views. What’s more, thanks to its innovative design it is sure to be one of the most luxurious and spacious suites on board.

Also new to Silver Nova is the Master Suite. Silversea tell us this new suite category will be stately, yet relaxed with an enviable corner position offering outstanding 270° views.

The new Signature Suite is arguably the most distinctive of the new categories on Silver Nova. With a unique L-shaped floor plan it has unobstructed views from all interior areas, not-to-mention one of the largest verandas on board.

The ever-popular Silver Suite has an improved layout on Silver Nova, giving direct access from the bedroom to the veranda.

A new Junior Grand Suite category will debut on Silver Nova. It is described as a home away from home, with spacious living and dining area, as well as a secluded bedroom. The Junior Grand Suite category appears to replace the Royal Suite category which does not feature on Silver Nova.

The Premium Medallion and Medallion Suites will each offer a mark of distinction. They will boast a sumptuous living area, as well as panoramic views from an oversized private veranda. The suites will have a layout similar to the Silver Suites on Muse-class vessels, albeit it somewhat smaller. It’s worth noting that the Premium Medallion suites will face aft.

Veranda Suites reimagined

The Veranda Suite, pioneered by Silversea Cruises, has been made-over for Silver Nova. As we’ve previously reported, the walk-in closet has been opened out to improve the sense of space. In addition, the Veranda Suites will boast a marble bathroom with a double-faucet basin and either a walk-in shower or large bathtub.

There will be 4 categories of Veranda Suite, including the new Premium Veranda Suites which will have a top, aft position. However, it’s worth noting the size and layout of all the Veranda Suites will be identical.

Attention to every detail

The legendary architect Giacomo Mortola is responsible for Silver Nova’s interiors. He has a long association with Silversea, which he says enabled him to blend heritage with design innovation.

“It was important to maintain Silversea’s elegant, Italian DNA, with whispered luxury and a consistent brand vision. But with Silver Nova, we had the opportunity to create something that is truly pioneering in the industry.”

Indeed, his attention to detail will surely be evident when Silver Nova debuts. For instance, all suites will have dedicated compartments for personal jewellery. Headboards will have integrated reading lights. There will also be soft lighting and new decor.

Silver Nova is schedule to debut on 15 July 2023, sailing from Southampton, UK to Rome, Italy. For more information visit the Silversea website.
