Azamara are regarded for their excellent onshore experiences. They call it destination immersion. Now, with a pre-or post cruise journey on the Orient Express guests can indulge in the ultimate destination experience.

Passengers are welcomed aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express by white-gloved stewards in blue and gold uniforms who take care of them throughout the trip. The journey will take guests deeper into European locales and allow them to stay longer and experience even more – all from a unique vantage point on board the Orient Express!

“Our guests will now get to experience the unbridled luxury of train travel and visit even more destinations and ports in Europe in the most authentic and immersive way”, said Larry Pimentel, President and CEO of Azamara Club Cruises.

The iconic Venice Simplon-Orient-Express operates round-trips between London and Venice and lets travellers relive a golden-era of travel in original 1920s vintage carriages, restored by the finest master craftsmen.

Stunning vintage details such as Rene Prou designs and Rene Lalique glass panels make each carriage feel like a time capsule giving travellers the chance to relive history.

Guests can choose from a range of spacious cabin grades, including the exclusive Venice Suite. There are also Cabin Suites (two twin cabins joined together) as well as twin and single cabins.

Lunch and dinner are highlights of any journey on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Executive Chef, Christian Bodiguel, has spent the last 33 years creating culinary masterpieces and prepares 3-course lunches and 4-course dinners of classic French dishes. The menus change seasonally and everything is cooked fresh on board, with Chef Bodiguel selecting local ingredients from the destinations the train visits.

The train uses two different routes – the Gotthard Route and the Alberg Route. Both routes offer breath taking mountain views, crystal clear lakes and quant towns and vineyards tucked into the mountainside.
