The upcoming Seabourn Quest season in Antarctica and South America has been cancelled. Instead, the Seabourn Quest will be redeployed to the Mediterranean.

The ultra-luxury cruise ship was to spend November 2021 to April 2022 exploring South America and Antarctica. Itineraries included the dramatic Chilean fjords and lush Amazonian forests, as well as vibrant Rio De Janiero and cosmopolitan Buenos Aires. Not to mention the spectacular Antarctic Peninsula.

However, the impact of the pandemic in South America meant the Antarctica and South America season could not proceed. The cruise line tell us they continue to work with local governments and port officials to develop plans for a full return of cruise travel.

Seabourn Quest redeployed to the Mediterranean

The cancelled Antarctica and South America season means Seabourn Quest will now resume operations in the Mediterranean on 10 May 2022 where she will spend the summer home-porting from Venice, Italy. New itineraries will include historic ports along the Adriatic and Ionian coasts.

From mid-July Seabourn Quest will sail west, visiting destinations in Spain, Portugal, France and then the United Kingdom.

“We look forward to welcoming our guests back on board Seabourn Quest in time for summer 2022 travel, where we will have so much to offer in the Mediterranean.”

Bringing the Seabourn fleet back into service

Seabourn Quest’s redeployment means it will join Seabourn Sojourn in the Mediterranean, also moved there following the cancellation of its schedule. Already sailing the Mediterranean is Seabourn Ovation, while Seabourn Odyssey is making back-to-back Caribbean voyages. Seabourn Encore is due to resume service in the Mediterranean in April 2022.
