Dolce Vita bar

Dolce Vita used to be known simply as The Bar. The name has changed but the venue is still the heart of Silver Whisper nightlife. Dolce Vita is the perfect place to meet friends or have a romantic pre-dinner drink.

Dolce Vita has a great club-like ambiance. An enormous, curved mahogany bar dominates the space. The ladies and gentlemen behind the bar seem to genuinely enjoy looking after the guests. They also mix excellent drinks. Pre-dinner canapés are offered free of charge. It’s a nice touch.

After dinner the resident pianist plays cabaret-style favourites. This makes for a sophisticated atmosphere and lots of couples get up and dance to the melodies.

Panorama Lounge

The Panorama Lounge is aft on deck 8. It was specially designed by Silversea to give uninterrupted views and because of this it is a popular spot at sunset.

There is an excellent bar in the Panorama Lounge as well as lots of comfy lounge-style seating. It is a great place to unwind with a cocktail as well as some engaging pre-dinner conversation.

There is also live music in The Panorama Lounge on most evenings which really adds to the Silver Whisper nightlife.

Silver Whisper nightclub

The Silver Whisper nightclub swings into action when the entertainment has finished in The Show Lounge. This usually happens at about 11:00pm. The Silver Whisper nightclub is in the Panorama Lounge where the resident D.J. spins disco classics and the latest dance mixes.

The nightclub can be somewhat hit-and-miss. Some evenings you can have the dance floor all to yourself, while on others it’s crammed with revellers enjoying the music. Things usually wind down in the nightclub by about midnight.

Casino bar

Silver Whisper has a hidden gem – the casino bar. It’s a tiny space just next door to the gaming room, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in atmosphere.

The lights are always low and the decor is reminiscent of an up-market London private bar. It positively oozes charm. Just don’t tell anyone else about it!

The Show Lounge

The Show Lounge is Silver Whisper’s theatre. It’s a multi-tiered venue which offers unobstructed views of the stage from every seat.

Silversea pride themselves of presenting entertainment that isn’t cruise ship cliche, so you can expect a wide variety of performances in The Show Lounge. One evening you might see a full-scale production show, while the next could be a classical soloist.

Occasionally special guest artists perform – Andrea Bocelli has sung on Silversea as have pop-opera sensation Il Volo.

The Show Lounge also presents feature films.

Tor’s Observation library

The Observation lounge on Silver Whisper is set high at the very top of the ship with commanding 180-degree views across the bow.

It’s a relaxing place where you can watch sunrises and sunsets. It also serves coffee and light snacks at various times throughout the day.

Guests are free to borrow a book here as well, read the papers or just relax as the ocean drifts by.
