The Dolce Vita Bar

At Dolce Vita you can enjoy cocktails and pre-dinner canapés while the resident guitarist plays for the room. 

It is the biggest of the Silver Spirit bars. In fact, they doubled its size during the renovation in 2018. Yet it still retains a certain intimacy, especially late in the evening when the lights are low. 

Indeed, Dolce Vita is a great place for after dinner tipples. There are plush sofas and comfortable armchairs, ideal for catching up with friends or loved ones.

Bar hours: 12:00pm – 4:00pm | 6:00pm – until late

The Panorama Lounge

The Panorama Lounge is located at the stern of the ship with sweeping ocean views. It has an indoor bar and lounge, as well as a glorious teak terrace with luxurious outdoor furniture and pot plants.

During my review sailing the Panorama Lounge was the most popular Silver Spirit bar, especially at sunset. Waiters glide by with trays of champagne and canapés while the Silver Spirit Trio play. It makes for a great atmosphere.

After dinner the Panorama Lounge takes on yet another persona. The lights are low and guests share lively conversation. Then later, the Silver Spirit DJ entertains until the wee small hours.

Tor’s Observation Library – the best Silver Spirit bar

Tor’s Observation Library is a hidden gem. Perched high at the front of the ship it has outstanding daytime vistas.

However, in the evening it is entirely different. The shades are drawn, the mood lighting is soft and the tunes are smooth. Tor’s is transformed into the most atmospheric of the Silver Spirit bars.

Silver Spirit’s most talented mixologists pour enticing cocktails and seemingly endless bottles of champagne. It’s the perfect place for a pre-dinner drinks or a quiet nightcap.

Bar hours: 6:00pm – 11:00pm

The Venetian Lounge

The Venetian Lounge is the theatre on Silver Spirit. It is a single-level, pillarless auditorium with unusual couples seating throughout.

Guest lecturers present their enrichment programs in the Venetian Lounge and it is also where the cast of six onboard singers known as the Voices of Silversea perform their shows.

There will usually be at least three of these shows every 7 days. One of the cast shows is called “Grande Amore”. It features famous Italian opera and classical crossover music. The cast perform as a group and individually.

Individually the cast are strong, however I can’t help feeling that as a group they have been vocally shoehorned together. Also, the cast shows can drift into the realm of cruise-ship-cliche at times.

Thankfully the singers also perform their own shows and it’s here where they shine. They play to their vocal strengths. I thought these performances were the most memorable.

Showtime on Silver Spirit is usually 10:00pm, however on the evening before disembarkation it will be 6:15pm.

Insiders tip: There is no bar service in the Venetian Lounge. So remeber to get a drink from Dolce Vita  if you’d like to enjoy a libation during the show.

Connoisseur’s Corner

More than just another Silver Spirit bar, the Connoisseur’s Corner is a small lounge where you can indulge in premium spirits and cigars.

The range of cigars, cognac, armagnac and whiskey are all displayed in handsome timber cabinets. There are club-style leather sofas and nautical themed artwork hangs from the walls.

It’s worth noting that the cigars and premium spirits available in the Connoisseur’s Corner do cost extra.

The Arts Cafe

The Arts Cafe is Silver Spirit’s very own New York-style coffee house. It has timber flooring and Persian carpets, as well as comfy sofas and armchairs. As the name suggests, the walls are covered with pieces of modern art.

I’m not sure the decor is quite as exceptional as the Arts Cafe on Silver Muse, but nonetheless it’s an enjoyable place to savour your morning coffee – especially on the outdoor terrace. Indeed, it’s a coffee-lovers delight where espresso and cappuccino are all brewed to perfection. There’s also a range of artisan teas available too.

The Arts Cafe serves snacks throughout the day. There’s morning sweet treats like Blueberry & Oatmeal Jars as well as sandwiches, salads and petit cheese plates.

In addition the Arts Cafe have a tempting selection of infused water, like Detox Citrus Water, Detox Lemongrass & Ginger Water and Detox Cucumber Water. Wines and spirits are also available.

Atlantide Bar

The Atlantide Bar is located inside the Atlantide restaurant. It may be the smallest of the Silver Spirit bars, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in style.

It feels like it belongs in a chic New York restaurant. The wall behind the bar is lined with spirits and there is a long black granite bar where you can watch your libation being made. It’s the perfect place for a pre-dinner drink.

Indocine Bar 

The Indocine Bar is located in the Indochine restaurant. It has a Japanese influence, with both bar seating and places at bar tables. 

This Silver Spirit bar offers a fine selection of oriental beers as well as some Asian inspired cocktails.
