Oceania Cruises are famous for the range and quality of their onboard cuisine. Now the premium cruise line have upped the ante with a new Oceania Cruises menu in the Grand Dining Room.
Each evening guests in the Grand Dining Room on all Oceania Cruises ships will have over two dozen dishes to choose from. There will be six appetisers, three soups, four salads, nine main courses, and nine side dishes. Oceania boast that the changes will make their dinner menus the most expansive and diverse at sea.
The line’s President & CEO, Bob Binder, is understandably enthusiastic about the new Oceania Cruises menu. “These spectacular new menus exemplify our commitment to culinary excellence and offering our guests not just the finest cuisine at sea, but diverse dining choices that surprise and delight the palate.”
New additions to the Grand Dining Room menu include herb-crusted cornish hen diavolo, Palermo-style grilled swordfish and Alaskan halibut Viennoise by the legendary Paul Bocuse.
Of course Oceania regulars will be happy to know that time-honoured favourites like Jacques Pepin’s beef bourginon and herb-crusted rotisserie chicken will still be available. Other classics on the new menu include involtini di melanzane alla parmigiana, coq au vin and dover sole.
Oceania Cruises Grand Dining Room has traditionally offered a degustation menu – a tasting selection of dishes accompanied by fine wines. There will now be three new changing tasting menus: A Global Cuisine menu, a Balanced Selection menu and Food & Wine Pairing menu.
The Global Cuisine menu will focus on a particular region or cooking style, from Asia to France or Greece to Japan. The Balanced Selection menu will offer four courses of mouth-watering lighter fair. While the Food & Wine Pairing menu will feature four courses with expertly paired fine wines selected by the head sommelier. The wine pairings will be included in most beverage packages or can be purchased for a nominal additional charge.
Of course there will also be a selection of imaginative vegetarian dishes on the new Oceania Cruises menu in the Grand Dining Room. As well as the Canyon Ranch Balanced Selections designed to enhance healthy living.
The new Oceania Cruises menu is currently available onboard Riviera and will be introduced on Sirena in May, Insignia in June, Nautica and Marina in July, and Regatta in August.
