HALs Alaska celebration has begun. It acknowledges the cruise lines 70-years in the region. Holland America Line has special experiences, events and gifts planned for Alaskan cruise guests this season. In 2017 Holland America will celebrate its 70th year of Alaska exploration and to commemorate the anniversary guests will get benefits on every Alaskan cruise.

HALs Alaska celebration will see exclusive entertainment created especially for the milestone year and Holland America Line will also showcase a new Alaska-centric menu. The main dining room will feature special décor and the dishes served have been created by the cruise line’s esteemed Culinary Council.

There will also be two additional special HALs Alaska celebration beers served onboard. For the 70th celebration HAL will expand its beer selection by introducing an exclusive Holland America Line Pale Ale. Another exclusive anniversary beer by Denali Brewing Company will be available at Denali for guests on Land+Sea Journeys.

Holland America Line were the first tour company in Alaska way back in 1947, opening up the beauty of the region to cruise guests. “Celebrating 70 years in Alaska — or any destination — is a milestone”, said Orlando Ashford, president of Holland America Line. “We wanted to mark our anniversary in a memorable way and bring even more of Alaska to our guests.”

Holland America Line has added a seventh ship to the Alaskan region to fill demand this year. Starting this season, ms Amsterdam, ms Eurodam, ms Nieuw Amsterdam, ms Noordam, ms Oosterdam, ms Volendam and ms Zaandam will offer a total of 135 Alaska departures — more than any other cruise line.
