Cunard has been voted best Mega-Ship Ocean Cruise Line in the annual Travel + Leisure Magazine Awards.

Travel + Leisure Magazine is the leading luxury travel publication in the United States and since 1995 readers have voted on their preferred cruise lines and other travel experiences.

Readers rate individual cruise ships on their cabins, food, service, itineraries and destinations, activities, and value. Travel + Leisure Magazine then combine those assessments to generate results.

For many readers bigger is definitely better. Travel + Leisure Magazine define mega-ship cruise lines as carrying 2,200 passengers or more and the popularity of these ships is growing. The best Mega-Ship Ocean Cruise Lines in the Travel + Leisure Magazine Awards were:

  1. Cunard
  2. Disney Cruise Line
  3. Princess Cruises
  4. Celebrity Cruises
  5. Holland America Line

Cruise lines have been busy updating and refurbishing their mega-cruise liners to meet the high expectation of their cruise guests. Cunard have remastered their flagship Queen Mary 2 and more recently, Queen Victoria. While Dinsey has added more amenities for kids.
