The Atlas Lounge: where the voyage begins and ends
Chic, nautical, and unmistakably stylish, the Atlas Lounge is the social heart of World Voyager. Think Monte Carlo meets superyacht. Throughout a 10-day Epicurean Expedition from Dublin to Lisbon, it was the natural gathering place before dinner, where nightly sea canapés and aperitifs became one of the more civilized ways to close out a day’s exploration.
The cocktail menu shifted daily—a Campari Orange Fizz one evening, a Magellan Fire Margarita the next—and the quality never wavered. Both the Captain’s Welcome and Farewell Receptions were hosted here, as was a spirited Mixology Competition that drew a surprisingly competitive crowd.
The 7Aft Bar: sun, sea, and sunset libations
For those who prefer their cocktails with a breeze off the Atlantic, the 7Aft Pool Bar delivers exactly that. Open daily from the pool deck, it is relaxed, sun-kissed, and perfectly suited to life at sea.
On the sailing day into Bordeaux, with the ship gliding down the Gironde estuary, resident musician Jorge played guitar on the open decks while guests gathered with drinks in hand—one of those unscripted moments that no itinerary can manufacture.
The Dome: the crown jewel of World Voyager bars
Of all the bars on World Voyager, The Dome is the one that most fully captures the small-ship experience at its finest. The lounge takes its name from a magnificent glass ceiling that transforms the space with the hour—by day, blue sky spills through the dome overhead; by night, a canopy of stars turns it into something altogether more magical. Panoramic windows frame the sea on three sides, making it magnificent by day and genuinely spellbinding after dark.
Every afternoon it hosted Tea Time; every evening it transformed into a sophisticated performance venue. Vocalist Elena and pianist Jorge were the cornerstone of the entertainment—their shows ranged from Dance Fusion to a Classic Rock Show to a Golden Collection of timeless standards. Cruise Director Greg added Broadway in the Dome to the mix, while the final night at sea belonged to DJ Jeremy and an open dance floor. The Dome was, by a clear margin, the most popular bar on World Voyager.
Why it all works
On a ship carrying fewer than 200 guests, intimacy is the great differentiator. The bartenders remember your order; the entertainers know your name.
