Atlas Ocean Voyages will require proof of vaccination from all guests. The updated COVID-19 health and safety protocols for the new luxe-adventure cruise line will give guests greater safety and piece of mind.
Starting 4 October 2021on World Navigator’s voyage from Lisbon, Portugal to Bridgetown, Barbados all guest will need to have had their COVID-19 vaccinations.
The move aligns Atlas Ocean Voyages with other luxury cruise brands requiring mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations before embarkation.
Atlas tell us they have adjusted their mandatory vaccination requirement to meet the ever-changing COVID-19 protocols in local destinations. In addition, the move will also better ensure an uninterrupted and safe guest experience.
How guests can comply with Atlas Ocean Voyages vaccination rules
Guests on Atlas Ocean Voyages will need to be fully vaccinated and should supply a valid vaccination certificate before their cruise. The certificate should detail the completion of COVID-19 vaccinations at least 14 days prior to embarkation.
In addition, guests will need to provide a valid negative COVID-19 test result at embarkation. This can take the form of a PCR test or rapid antigen test.
Guests can get a PCR test up to 72-hours before embarkation. On the other hand, they can only get antigen tests up to 48-hours before boarding the vessel.
Staying safe on board
To ensure the safety of everyone on board, guests must also take a rapid antigen test at embarkation.
The adjustment to the cruise line’s COVID protocols is a clear and undoubtedly welcome commitment to the health and safety of their guests.
It’s worth noting that all Atlas shipboard staff and crew members have had their COVID-19 vaccinations.
