There are four Seabourn Odyssey restaurants. The main dining room is called The Restaurant. Also there is the Colonnade, The Patio and the specialty dining venue called The Grill by Thomas Keller. Each of these restaurant has a different ambiance – from New York chic to poolside casual – but no matter where you eat, every Seabourn Odyssey dining experience is a culinary voyage of discovery.

The Restaurant
The Restaurant is the main dining venue on board Seabourn Odyssey. It is also a spectacular dining room with a high atrium ceiling, chandeliers and flowing chiffon curtains.
The Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It serves some of the best food at sea. In the morning there are pastries, eggs and other breakfast classics. At lunch there is a small but delectable menu, usually with at least one fish dish. However, in the evening things step up a notch when The Restaurant has an enticing French-inspired dinner menu.
There is a wide selection of specials each night, as well as Seabourn classics that can be ordered all the time. The menu also features Thomas Keller inspired dishes. When you have dinner in The Restaurant you can mix-and-match from the menu as you please. French Champagne and fine wines are poured free of charge.
The Restaurant is a world-class dining venue. In fact during our Seabourn Odyssey review voyage we rated it as the best of the Seabourn Odyssey restaurants.
The Restaurant has open seating, which means reservations are not needed. Also, you can dine alone, with your cruise companion or a table-full of new found friends.
It should be noted that there is a formal dress code on formal nights in The Restaurant.
The Grill by Thomas Keller
Seabourn have teamed up with Michelin starred chef Thomas Keller for their specialty Seabourn Odyssey dining restaurant. Hence, it is called The Grill by Thomas Keller and is a classic American steakhouse, with a chic New York twist.
The decor is inspired by Adam D Tihany, the famous designer who also did the interiors of the new Seabourn cruise ships. Beautifully crafted timber veneer and crisp white table linen set the scene, together with evocative black & white photography.
But the food is what The Grill by Thomas Keller is all about. It is excellent. The restaurant serves updated versions of classic dishes. There’s Elysian Fields Farm Lamb Medallions with Herb Crust as well as Dover Sole. Lobster Thermidor is also on the menu. We especially liked The whole Roasted Free Range Chicken with Thyme Jus – which is served for two.
The Grill also offers a limited, albeit delicious dessert menu. Our favourite was the Seven Layer Coconut Cake. Be sure to leave enough room for a signature Thomas Keller cookie at the end of your meal!
The Grill by Thomas Keller has a great cocktail list which is worth indulging in before your meal. A wonderful selection of old and new world wines is also available to compliment the menu.
The Grill is one of the most popular Seabourn Odyssey restaurants, so you will need to make a reservation. However, there is no additional charge to experience this Seabourn Odyssey dining venue.
The Colonnade
The Colonnade on Seabourn Odyssey is one of the best casual dining venues at sea. In fact we think it sets the standard for luxury buffet dining.
The food is fresh, plentiful and well presented. Indeed, there are salads, seafood platters, hot roasted meats and delectable desserts. In addition, each day The Colonnade has a range of specials available. During our Seabourn Odyssey review we especially enjoyed the fresh green-lip muscles.
You can sit inside at tables or at benches with bar stools, but we loved dining al fresco on the wrap-around teak terrace. It’s a real treat!
The Colonnade is open for breakfast and lunch, as well as dinner. You do not need to make a reservation.
The Patio is the most relaxed of all the Seabourn Odyssey restaurants. It offers daily buffet meals on the beautiful teak pool deck with cool, shaded seating.
The Patio serves grilled specialties and pizzas as well as salads. There are also daily specials. It is open for lunch and dinner only. You do not need a reservation.

I was wondering if you may have any information on the Odyssey suite
VS 913 ?
1) Specifically the veranda ?
2) If the the bar above It is loud ?
3) Is it a comfortable spot on the ship ? Do you bounce around in rough waters ?

Thank you for your questions. I can answer each of them for you.
The Veranda:
913 has a teack veranda, however it is just sligtly smaller than most. IMO the difference is so small that you are not likely to notice it.
Is the bar above loud:
No. There is live music in the bar most nights (usually a singer and a pianist). However, this is not loud and it tends to wrap up by about 11:00pm. The disco is located at the other end of Seabourn Odyssey (in The Club on deck 5).
Is it a comfortable spot on the ship?
If the seas are high you will feel movement. That is because the suite is located at the very front of the ship. That said, in my expereince these suites are fine even if the seas are running as high as 2m. / 7ft. Here are our tips for dealing with seassickness in case you are concerned.
I’ve sailed on Seabourn Odyssey a number of times and I rate it as one of the best luxury cruise ships. I’m sure you will have a wonderful time on board!

Any insight on V2 705? Noise levels? Comfort?

Thank you for your query. The only noise you will get is when Odyssey drops anchor i.e. When it is not in port and you require a tender to get ashore.
The anchor house is located at the bow, and when the anchor drops there is quite a lot of noise as the massive anchor chain rattles out!
That said, it only lasts a minute or two. Also, it usually only happens when the vessel arrives in the morning – about 7-8am. So a sleep-in on those days is not likely!
