Expert guide to Norwegian rewards

The Norwegian Cruise Line rewards program is called Latitudes. It has 4 membership levels – Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum – each offering increasingly greater benefits. You reach each membership level based on the number of points you have accrued. Each night at sea earns 1 point.

  • Bronze: 1 – 19 points
  • Silver: 20 – 47 points
  • Gold: 48 – 75 points
  • Platinum: over 76 points

With NCL rewards you can earn bonus points to help fast-track your rise toward Platinum status. You can earn 1 extra point per night for sailing in a Haven Suite or Suite (excluding mini-Suites) and 1 extra point per night when booking nine months or more in advance. You can also score an additional 1 point per night if you book a members-only Latitudes Insider Offer.

Consider this, if you’ve never sailed with Norwegian before and book a 7-night Bahamas cruise in a Haven Suite, 10-months in advance you’ll instantly become Silver after the cruise. It’s easy to see how quickly you can climb the membership ladder!

Entry level Bronze benefits

All NCL rewards Latitudes members receive on board benefits and monthly members only offers called Latitudes Insider Offers. These offers feature things like on board credits on future sailings and cruise discounts.

As a Latitudes member you’ll also get priority check-in, regardless of your membership level. You will also be invited to the members only cocktail party on board and get a 10% discount on a single purchase of Norwegian Logo merchandise in the Duty Free Shop. You will also be given a commemorative ship pin once on board.

Bonus internet access is also on offer to all members: 30 free minutes with a 250-minute internet package or 15 free minutes with 100-minute internet package.

Silver benefits

In addition to the entry level Bronze benefits available to all NCL rewards members, when you reach Silver you can enjoy a 15% discount on photos, 15% discount on spa treatments on port days, nightly turndown chocolates and a special silver members gathering.

Gold benefits

When you’ve accrued 48 points you’ll become Gold and your benefits really start to get good. You’ll get a 25% discount on a bag of laundry, priority tender tickets to avoid the queues, priority disembarkation and a special welcome gift in your stateroom.

Platinum benefits

When you reach Platinum you’ll get the full VIP treatment. You’ll have access to the Platinum Concierge-Service, get a free dinner for two and bottle of wine at Le Bistro, one free bag of laundry, one free bottle of sparkling wine to enjoy in your stateroom, free chocolate covered strawberries delivered to your stateroom once per voyage and a 20USD discount on the Ultimate Dining Package.
