Small ship big experience

I had sailed on Silver Wind down the West Coast of Africa in 2013 and was very satisfied. In this case, the ports were not as interesting as the glamour that surrounded being in such ‘less-travelled’ part of the world. The attraction of this 2015 cruise was the itinerary – Asia to Muscat in the...

Short Break Sunshine Coast

Well 7 middle aged women and 1 cruise ship! Cocktails in hand we sailed away at the aft ( or arse end or back) of the ship at the Oasis Bar – seriously my favourite area on the ship! Food in the Waterfront restaurant and the Plantation Buffet was very good. Dinner one evening in...

Felt very second class

Have returned from a Med cruise on the Victoria and not likely to sail on her again. The ship is segregated between Grills (first class) and everybody else (that was us). At every point in the voyage we were reminded that we weren’t Grills, from the onboard announcements to restricted access to parts of the...

Great staff

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip on the Nieuw Amsterdam. It’s a bit bigger than we usually prefer, but we never felt over crowded. The high point was the staff who were very good. Every one of them seemed to be keen to make our time onboard special. Our room attendant was excellent. We had a verandah...

Disappointed traveller

Our Alaska cruise from Seward to Vancouver had its highs and lows. The highs were: experiencing the Hubbard glacier; cruising Glacier Bay and having a balcony cabin. The lows were: very poor customer service in the two free dining rooms; mediocre to poor dinner entrees; horrible vegetarian Indian food in the special buffet set up...

Our first cruise on the MSC OPERA

One word: Awesome The staff, the service excellent. We had a great time for the seven days on sea. Entertaining amazing. Only down fall was the photography as it’s very expensive.

MSC Opera

This was my first cruise and was absolutely magnificent. The ship, it’s staff, their service was truely excellent. This great experience has led me to encourage others to cruise as well.

Celebrity Constellation

Ship was clean. Staff excellent. Food average. No fancy events (brunch with ice carvings etc) took place in dining room where we had that on the Eclipse! Excursions great. Entertainment disappointing! Shows were boring to the point that people walked out.

Ripped off

My wife and I went on a Canary Island and North Africa cruise, the accommodation, service and entertainment was good. The onshore trips were good, but the holiday was spoilt by on board rip off bar prices. For example a large gin and tonic and a large whiskey and lemonade came to $40.00 whch at...
